Heritage Exhibition of a Traditional Pawnshop Business

"Tak Seng On" (The Virtue and Success Pawnshop) was established in 1917 and belonged to wealthy merchant Kou Ho Ning. The Cultural Institute of the Macao SAR Government restored this historic pawnshop to its original condition to preserve Macao's cultural heritage. Visitors can experience what the pawn business was like during its peak era in Macao, with the exhibition showcasing the architectural design, interior decor, and equipment typical of Chinese pawnshops from that era.
