Please note that the Throne Room will remain closed to the public until further notice. The staterooms of the Grand Master’s Palace will be closed on the following dates, until 1.00 pm. 25th March 29th March 27th May 24th June Only  the Armoury will be open  on the specified days, as the  staterooms will reopen after that time . The first building to be constructed by the Knights of St John in the new capital city and enlarged over the years, the Palace is a state within an edifice. During the British period, it served as the Governor’s Palace and was the seat of Malta’s first constitutional parliament in 1921.
