Archive of Māori And Pacific Sound
The Archive of Māori and Pacific Sound (AMPS) at the University of Auckland preserves recordings of oral traditions, music and languages of Māori and Pacific peoples for future generations. Established in 1970 by Bruce Biggs in the Anthropology Department, the archive has grown through decades of research activity and now sits within Te Tumu Herenga (Libraries and Learning Services) among He Māra Mahara's cultural collections.
