Brenthurst Library

The Brenthurst Library, located on Federation Road in Parktown, Johannesburg, is regarded by historians as one of the most important repositories of Africana in southern Africa and one of the largest and most important in private hands. Its holdings include an art collection, book and pamphlet collections, manuscripts, maps, photographs, and the Brenthurst Collection of Southern African Art. The Library also runs the Brenthurst Press and a conservation studio, and welcomes researchers by application.
