Ceres Togryers Museum
The Ceres Togryers Museum (Ceres Transport Riders' Museum) was established as a Local Museum on 7 November 1978 and proclaimed a Province-aided Museum from 1 April 1987. Housed in a converted 1930s flour mill, it preserves the heritage of Ceres in the Western Cape. Highlights include the 1838 meteor fall, the destructive 1969 earthquake, the Galant slave uprising at Houdenbek Farm, a collection of wagons, the forced removals of the 1960s, and the Jewish community in Ceres.
