District Six Museum
The District Six Museum is an internationally engaged museum working with the memories of District Six and other communities affected by forced removals in Cape Town, South Africa. Founded in 1989 and officially launched on December 10, 1994, the museum preserves the history and heritage of a vibrant community that was destroyed under apartheid-era forced removals.
