Escaldes-Engordany Art Centre (CAEE)

The Escaldes-Engordany Art Centre (CAEE) houses a collection of Romanesque art miniatures and a substantial body of sculptures by Catalan sculptor Josep Viladomat – including marble and bronze pieces, plasters and sketches. The building, constructed between 1932 and 1934 under Catalan architect Celestí Gusí, was originally a car park for the Hotel Valira and later Andorra's first cinema, the Cine Valira. Today the centre also hosts a programme of temporary exhibitions by international and local artists, alongside displays on history and ancient civilisations.
