Acervo Especial LGBT+ “Cintura Fina”

The NUH – Núcleo de Direitos Humanos e Cidadania LGBTQIA+ at UFMG is an academic center dedicated to rescuing, documenting, and preserving cultural heritage related to LGBT+ community memory and practices in Brazil. It maintains the Acervo Cintura Fina, a historical archive featuring journalistic materials, correspondence, and photographs documenting LGBT+ history and culture from the 1950s–1980s. The NUH also produces podcasts, debate cycles, and educational initiatives to promote human rights and citizenship.
