Memorial Santiaguense

The Memorial Santiaguense is a public space dedicated to preserving the history of São Tiago municipality, housing nearly 500 pieces of historical, artistic, and cultural value. Conceived in 1973 by retired teacher Maria de Lourdes Rezende and inaugurated on December 27, 2008 during São Tiago's 300-year anniversary, the memorial features photographs, clothing, books, documentaries, and artifacts including a 19th-century litter, an antique cash register, and the original pulpit from the local church. Admission is free.
