The Slovenian Conservation Association is a voluntary association of residents in the field of cultural heritage protection and is dedicated to the realization of professional interests. The association was founded in the spring of 1971, when the first or founding general assembly was organized in Piran, at which, in addition to the association's bodies, its first president, dr. Stane Bernik. In subsequent years, various events, dedications, excursions and other events organized by the association took place, important both for the development of conservation activities and for strengthening mutual professional and friendly relations and developing awareness of cultural heritage and its preservation.
