The Dutch Association of Zoos (founded in 1966) is the umbrella organization for the 13 largest Dutch zoos. The NVD zoos work closely together in the areas of education, recreation, nature conservation and research.
Membership of the NVD can be regarded as a quality mark for a Dutch zoo.
